how do i secure my 50" flat screen tv without mounting it to a wall?
i display on a large tv stand and don’t want a wall mount.
however it is likely it would fall if bumped or push accidentally.
is there a way to anchor it to the floor etc.? plz help.

You could a nice box around it for protection . Make it long and wide to give balance so not to fall if hit at all and add between the tv face and the wood for added safety .
At least some TV come with a strap which is to be connected to the top of the Tv near the top and then attached to a wall to reduce the chance for a tip over. If I were you, I would never do anything but wall mount them.
