I have a Sony Bravia KDL40V2500 HD TV and a Simplicity SLF1 mounting bracket, will this bracket work with sony?
It appears that the HD cable inputs will be blocked by the mounting plate.

Then your Simplicity is NOT Vesa mounting…
All TV sets use a Vesa-standard mounting system where the FOUR BIG screws has a certain width, and spacing and position…..
That plate, IF it were a Vesa-standard would NOT interfere with the Cables or come anywhere NEAR the input jacks…
So…you’re either placing the bracket in the wrong place, or you have a non-Vesa bracket.
Which one is it? And do you have the instruction sheet??
Did you get an oversized bracket for a 50-60 inch TV set??
