I'm hanging a TV bracket for a very heavy TV on a wall with metal studs.?
The screws that came with it the directions say that use only for wood studs. The wall I’m hanging it on have metal studs. I’m not confident that metal screws will hold. What do you suggest?

by a stand
1/4" metal toggle bolts. if you have any doubt, move up to 3/8" toggles. i guarantee it won’t go anywhere.
a tv stand! you dont want your tv to fall off and break do you better to be safe than sorry! xxxx hope i helped! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
the gage steel used on a house is not strong enough to hold a tv stand with a heavy tv on it. it will only collapse taking the wall with it. i would use a stand or something to that effect that will hold the tv.
attach a wood base big enough to hold the TV mount and mount the wood the wall between the two metal studs at each of the four corners of the wood support. And you should be fine.
Needed to have heavy monitors mounted to walls at fmr job.
Metal studs alone are not up to the loads.
Most common practice was to screw1 or 2 thicknesses 3/4" plywood "blocking"between studs.
The blocking was run above & below the highest & lowest bracket mounting points & beyond the widest holes.
Since the stud " channels" all faced the same way , doubling the studs so that the blocking could be screwed to the inside
of the channels was done .
Easy enough in new construction, but the wall will have to be opened if the walls are already enclosed.
Easy to route power & signal cable to the monitor also.
After patching & painting, 1/4" or 3/8" dia x 2" or so lag screws were used to fix the bracket through the drywall into the blocking.
Best regards
