Is there such a thing as a vertical folding tv bracket?

Hi,
I’m trying to find a TV bracket that will allow my 32 inch flatscreen to fold up ontop of my wardrobe and then when I want to use it, it will fold down and allow the tv to hang in front of my wardrobe.

See image:

I know that it would work with a normal tv bracket turned on its side but I am unsure whether it would be able to support the weight that way.

any ideas.

Thanks.

James – That actually might work with a swing arm bracket. The only problem is that swing arm brackets are designed to mount the TV 90 degrees from the way you need to mount it. You may be able to make it work as long as you are good with tools etc. As long as you have it mounted securely at the top of the wardrobe and the tv itself, I don’t see why that would not work with a bracket like this:

You better hope your wardrobe is built like one of those 500 year old Walnut wardrobes….you know the ones with 4 inch thick wood doors with iron hinges that CREAK like a drawbridge….because I wouldn’t trust anything else to hold that custom built mechanism you’re going to have someone build for you…..

    That’s your answer….
